Vascular Dementia May Be Highly Treatable

A 2013 study by Hachinski et al indicate that all types of dementias have a vascular component. Steven P. Ringel, MD, of the department of neurology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, and David Gill, MD, of the University of Rochester discuss how these data may affect management of Alzheimer's patients — or at least the discussion the data should elicit in the clinical care setting.
